Canon Character Information
Appearance: Neal has Dark brown hair and brown eyes. He's 5′ 9″ and of a medium build. He has muscles but they are bred from necessity more than a lot of random training. He's learned to use a sword, among other things and ends up staying fit because of his life style however he isn't bulky.

Reference Picture: 1 2 3
History: HERE
He is coming in with his previous Medietas memories. It isn't because it helps his development at all but because it removes complicated explanations as to why Emma is pregnant and the part he played in that. Because he's also getting a canon update his other memories of Medietas will be fuzzy at best but slowly come back. His personality doesn't change with the canon update.

Personality:

Neal is very complicated. He has the amazing ability to love and laugh however his past had left him filled with anger and hate. He hasn't been able to let his past go. He's trying to outrun his father, his nightmares and the pain associated with abandonment; except that it doesn't work. Even after reuniting with his father he admits that he never got closer and that the wound left by his father continues to hurt. He doesn't remember a lot about his father that doesn't suck except him saying that there are no coincidences. The fact that he remembers this proves that he does keep those memories close, even if they are painful. He's still family. Which is later expanded on when he helps safe his fathers life.

Neal hates magic, hates his father and is rather vindictive towards his father. The hate has rooted inside of him and grown into something unrelenting over the years. He has nightmares of his father finding him and is unable to forget or forgive his fathers choice. He hates magic because it was what his father had chosen over him. Neal would rather that his father never find him but he knew that it was a foolish hope of a boy and so he kept running. I say that he's vindictive because even after meeting his father again he says things purposely to hurt him. Neal wants to keep the distance between them and isn't willing to see if his father has changed or not. He doesn't want to think of how his life could have been but wants to focus on what it is now. His father is only in his past.

Neal's biggest fear and ending up like his father; choosing power over love. He wants to be a good father and while he'll be arriving into game without the memory of a son; these feelings and desires are still evident in his behavior. He works towards his own goals; becoming the person he wants to be. It's taken him some time to figure out what that is but Neal has the strength to follow his own path and even thrive after choosing to do so. Hence he leaves his life as a thief and is able to get a job that involves a suit and an apartment in New York.

Neal is willful and often disregards laws. Having been a product from another world he doesn't see the point in following social conventions born from Earth. He had grown up with different morals, some of which were learned from a pirate. This means he does things his own way and doesn't let others stop him. His belief's allow him to steal however he doesn't think of it as something bad. It's just another way to survive when he had nothing else. He doesn't believe in killing people or watching them die but he also knows when talking won't solve anything.

He's sarcastic, intelligent but often down plays it in order to keep that advantage, he's wise having learned a lot about life through experiences and not afraid to call people out on their shit. He's lived a lot longer than he looks and he's taken those experiences to heart. He knows a lot about people and understands them; even when he doesn't approve of others actions. He can be forceful when he needs to be but his heart is usually in the right place. He's also very blunt when he's talking to others, not out of hate but he really doesn't like bullshit and he's used to his father who is the sort of person who talks in riddles or with failed promises.

Neal is awkward when it comes to things he isn't expecting; like a son. He's also awkward around girls having skipped past the normal boy teen years and focusing on survival and running. He's gotten significantly better compared to when he was a child however Neal continues to have those moments where he's tongue tied and unsure.

He doesn't trust people with his past though that won't stop him from getting close to them. He'll simply not talk about it and as long as they respect that Neal is able to form a deeper relationship. He likes to focus on who he is now versus the pains and darkness that linger in his past. He doesn't think that they are important so he won't mention it until it comes up. This is a very male trait of his and he doesn't understand why it might upset someone. He tries to be honest to a point but somethings aren't important when you're looking for the future.

The only other person besides his father to really impact Neal had been Emma. When they met he was stealing cars and continued having a life of running and crime. Emma was the person that made Neal realized that he didn’t want to spend his whole life running. He wanted something more. He wanted Tallahassee. It was Emma that spurred him to get a job and pay rent. When he’s introduced at the beginning of season 2 he was even wearing a suit while every shot of him in the past had been in the back of a car or running scams with Emma. He’d asked August to tell him when the curse was broken so he could find her again and that maybe, with luck, they’d carve out a little piece of happiness. She inspired him to want something more from life.

Powers/Abilities/Talents:
Neal doesn't have any powers however he has a lot of skills. Not all of them are talked about in the series but he's been to many worlds and there are basic things he understands. One is the knowledge about traveling between worlds and the magic it uses; while he can't do it without the help of magic he is able to use magic and figure out how it works. He, however, hates magic and won't.

He can drive a car but also a pirate ship. Considering his vast skills and experiences, as well as the fact that he's a lot older than his apparent age thanks to Neverland, I think that he has more talents than he lets on. Things like juggling, sword fighting, basic survival skills, knowledge about different legends and magical things, also the thievery he's learned on Earth and from the pirate Hook. His full skills and abilities were never explained in the series however Neal was very resourceful; it was how he survived.

What 4 items would you like your character to have with them on the island during their stay? The sword he was given by Hook as a child, ..., ..., ...

I can get newer samples if needed but they're within a year... I think?
Samples
First Person: Medeitas TD
Third Person: Fall Meme

Finally, out of the 4 words, pick one: Chimes, lake, gravel, or sun? Gravel
